Mangaluru: Freshers welcome program & White Coat ceremony for I MBBS held at KSHEMA

Mangaluru, Jan 06, 2023: K S Hegde Medical Academy conducted a White Coat ceremony for the Ist MBBS (2022-23 batch) students on 6th January 2023 at the K S Hegde Auditorium.

 

 

 

Prof Dr. Jayaprakash Shetty, Vice Dean (Admin), KSHEMA, welcomed the freshers. Prof. Dr. Satheesh Kumar Bhandary, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Nitte (DU) was the chief guest. He enlightened the students about the technological advances in Medical Education and the  facilities available at Nitte (DU) to support the students.  Prof. Dr. M. Shantharam Shetty, Hon’ble Pro-Chancellor, Nitte (DU) in his presidential address stressed the importance of the White Coat ceremony.

Dr. Swathi Shetty, Professor of Anatomy & Foundation course coordinator briefed about the foundation course conducted at KSHEMA. Dr. A M Mirajkar, Vice Dean (Academics), KSHEMA & Dr. Sumalatha R Shetty, Medical Superintendent, JKSHCH, administered the Hippocrates oath & Charak Shapath, respectively. Certificates for the winners of extracurricular activities was handed over by the Dean, K S Hegde Medical Academy Dr. P S Prakash.

Dr. Kishan Prasad HL, Professor of Pathology & MEU Coordinator, delivered the vote of thanks. Dr. Sameeksha & Dr. Srilekha were the Master of the ceremony.
