Mangaluru: Gruha Lakshmi scheme of state government launched

Mangaluru, Aug 30, 2023: The Gruha Lakshmi scheme of the state government wherein women heads of households will get Rs 2,000 per month, was launched at the Kudmul Rangarao Town Hall in Mangaluru on August 30, Wednesday. Gruha Lakshmi is one of the five guarantees promised by the Congress party in its poll manifesto. As many as 1.1 crore women heads of households will benefit from this scheme.

 

 

In Mangaluru the scheme was launched by MLC Dr Manjunatha Bhandary. The function was organised by Mangaluru City Corporation and Department of Women and Child Development.

 Deputy Commissioner Mullai Muhilan, Women and Child Welfare Department Deputy Director Papa Bhavi, DUDC Project Director Abhishek, MCC Commissioner Anand and others were present.

Hundreds of beneficiaries took part in the programme and also watched the live streaming of the launching of state level Gruha Lakshmi scheme in Mysuru.
