Mangaluru, Dec 5, 2015 : State Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Abhayachandra Jain has informed that the Alumni Association of the Karnataka Polytechnic in Mangaluru has decided to renovate the Polytechnic building with the help of the government.
Speaking to reporters at a press meet convened at the Polytechnic on December 4, Friday, Jain said the Rs 90 lakhs sanctioned by the government for the purpose would be released very soon. He also informed that the cost of renovation of the Polytechnic is estimated to be around Rs 2.7 crores. He further stated that the building of the Institution founded in 1946 and which has educated innumerous students was presently in a bad shape.
The Minister further informed that the Alumni Association of the Polytechnic would be holding a reunion on December 27.
