Mangaluru: New building of Ullal Community Health Centre inaugurated

Mangaluru, April 12, 2025: Minister for Health and Family Welfare and Dakshina Kannada District in charge Dinesh Gundu Rao and Legislative Assembly Speaker U.T. Khader on Friday formally inaugurated the new building of Ullal Community Health Centre (CHC).

They formally launched operation of the new dialysis centre set up at the Ullal CHC. Presently six beds have been placed and there is space to add four more beds. District Health Officer H.R. Thimmaiah said as many as 28 patients have registered for use of the facility. The new dialysis facility will reduce pressure on the dialysis centre at the Government Wenlock Hospital, Dr. Thimmaiah said.

They also laid foundation stone for the building of Comprehensive Rehabilitation Centre being constructed in CHC premises at a cost of ₹2.09 crore. The BPCL is giving ₹1.59 crore out of its CSR funds for the building. They also launched the work of construction of Ayush Hospital’s first floor. New mortuary was opened where two social organisations have donated freezer worth ₹ 10 lakh.
