Mangaluru : Officials swing into action to ensure total compliance of lockdown rules

Mangaluru, Jun 09, 2021: In the wake of the instructions issued by the Deputy Commissioner to enforce stricter lockdown rules,  the City Corporation officials along with police personnel conducted a joint operation and acted against shopkeepers who  were operating beyond the lockdown relaxation hours. Those failing to ensure social distancing and  those found without masks also faced action.

Since early morning officials were seen inspecting vehicles and ensuring there was no unnecessary vehicular movement. Rigorous checking was done at main roads as well as other  roads.

City Police Commissioner N Shashi Kumar, DCP Hariram Shanker, ACP (Traffic) Nataraj and other  corporation officials were part of the operation.
