Mangaluru Police personnel honored with Chief Minister’s Medal for outstanding service

Mangaluru, March 30, 2025: Several police officers and personnel from Mangaluru city have been selected for the 2024 Chief Minister’s Medal in recognition of their exceptional contributions to solving major crimes. Their efforts include cracking the high-profile Kotekar bank robbery case and executing one of Karnataka’s largest MDMA drug busts.

Among the awardees are Mangaluru Police Commissioner Anupam Agarwal, Mangaluru City ACP Dhanya N. Nayak, and Western Range DIG Amit Singh, who played a key role in facilitating the surrender and reintegration of Naxalites.

The prestigious honor has also been awarded to several officers, including Ullal Inspector Balakrishna H.N., Surathkal Inspector Mahesh Prasad, Surathkal SI Raghavendra Manjunath Nayak and Kankanady City Police HC Reji V.M. Mangaluru CCB HC officers Anjanappa and Bheemappa Uppar, along with Surathkal HC officers Annappa and Umesh Kumar, have also been recognized. Other awardees include CCB PC officer Purushottama, Mangaluru Central Station HC Praveen M.C. and Central Station Inspector Gurappa Kanti. Additionally, CCB ASI Sheenappa, ARSI officer Ritesh, HC officers Sudheer Kumar, Santosh Kumar, Damodar, Vijay Shetty, and Sreedhar V., as well as CCB PC officers Prakash S. Sattagihalli and Abhishek A.R., have been honored for their outstanding contributions.
