Mangaluru-Pune Direct Flights Launched by Air India Express

Mangaluru, January 5, 2025: Mangaluru International Airport has introduced a new direct flight service connecting Mangaluru with Pune, Maharashtra’s IT capital, offering greater convenience to travelers from the coastal region. Air India Express inaugurated the route on January 4, 2025, with two weekly flights scheduled every Saturday.

The inaugural flight, IX 2256, departed Mangaluru at 8:00 AM and reached Pune Airport (PNQ) at 9:25 AM. The return flight, IX 2257, left Pune at 9:55 AM and arrived in Mangaluru by 11:45 AM. The historic first flight from Pune was piloted by Captain Asatkar Dipak Daulat, accompanied by his co-pilot and a four-member cabin crew.

To meet the increasing travel demand, Air India Express has also launched an evening service. Flight IX 2236 departs Mangaluru at 6:30 PM and lands in Pune at 8:00 PM, while the return flight, IX 2237, takes off from Pune at 8:35 PM and reaches Mangaluru by 10:05 PM.

This new route is expected to significantly reduce travel time and provide a seamless journey for passengers traveling between the two cities. With the addition of these flights, Mangaluru International Airport continues to enhance its connectivity, offering residents and businesses of the region greater access to key destinations.
