Mangaluru, Nov 01, 2023: DK District in-charge Minister Dinesh Gundurao hoisted the tri-colour and received the guard of honour at the Nehru Maidan in the city on November 1, Wednesday on the occasion of Karnataka Rajyotsava celebrations.
In his address, the minister said the state government was giving top priority towards the overall development of rural areas by providing basic infrastructural facilities.
He said a total of 3.44 lakh beneficiaries have registered for Gruha Lakshmi scheme in Dakshina Kannada district and added that efforts would be made to solve the problems of beneficiaries to whom the cash was not credited due to technical issues.
Anna Bhagya scheme has 248 lakh beneficiaries in the district, he added.
The Minister also gave information on the implementation of various schemes.
Speaker U T Khader, MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, Mayor Sudhir Shetty Kannur, Deputy Commissioner Mullai Muhilan, MLA Vedavyas Kamath, City Police Commissioner Anupam Agarwal, SP Rishyanth, ZP CEO Dr Anand and others were present.
