Mangaluru: Two arrested, drugs worth ₹8 lakh seized

Mangaluru, March 29, 2025: Central Crime Branch sleuths arrested two persons and seized hydroweed cannabis, cannabis, and charas worth ₹8 lakh.
The police gave the names of the accused as Thaizeer Ismail Hussain, 23, of Pandeshwar in Mangaluru, and Royston Xavier Lobo, 23, of Shivabagh in Mangaluru.
In a press release, the police said the accused were getting narcotic drugs from Bengaluru and selling it to students and others in the city. On a tip-off, the CCB team arrested the two when they were allegedly selling the drugs on Shivabagh 5th Cross Road. Apart from drugs, the police also seized two mobile phones from the accused.
The CCB team was led by Assistant Commissioner of Police Manoj Kumar Naika and comprised police inspector K.M. Rafeeq, police sub-inspector Narendra, and assistant sub-inspectors Ram Poojary, Seenappa, and Sujan Shetty.
