Mangaluru University confers Honorary Doctorate on Rohan Monteiro, MN Rajendra Kumar, Sadashiva Shetty

Mangaluru, March 29, 2025: Rohan Monteiro, Managing Director of Rohan Corporation, SCDCC Bank Chairman MN Rajendra Kumar and Philanthropist Kanyana Sadashiva Shetty were conferred Honorary Doctorate during the 43rd Annual Convocation of Mangalore University held at the Mangala Auditorium at the University Campus at Konaje on Saturday. The three outstanding personalities were conferred Honorary Doctorates in recognition of their yeoman contributions in their respective fields.
The Convocation Address was delivered by Prof V N Rajashekharan Pillai, Vice President of Association of Indian Universities and Vice Chancellor of Somaiya Vidyavihar University, Mumbai.
Dr M C Sudhaker, Karnataka Minister for Higher Education and Pro-Chancellor of the University was present as the chief guest.
A total of 64 candidates were conferred PhD, 54 were conferred with gold medals and 56 were awarded cash prizes on the occasion.
Vice Chancellor P L Dharma and other University officials and faculty were present.
