Mangaluru: Woman ends life jumping from 4th floor of Lady Goschen Hospital following newborn’s death

Mangaluru, November 11, 2024: A 28 year old woman who lost her new born child has ended her life by jumping from the fourth floor of Lady Goschen Hospital on November 11, Monday
The deceased is Ranjitha from Karkala. Ranjitha who was earlier admitted to a hospital in Karkala was later admitted to Lady Goschen Hospital following the advice of doctors as she had some health complications.
She had delivered her child on October 30. But the new born which was placed in intensive care unit could not survive and passed away on November 3.
Meanwhile Ranjitha was supposed to be discharged today and her family members were at the hospital to take her home. But Ranjitha in a sudden rush jumped from the fourth floor of the hospital. She was immediately admitted to Wenlock Hospital but was declared dead.
