The event was presided over by Samiti president Shekhara Poojary, with notable guests including DYFI state president Muneer Katipalla, Kinnigoli Church assistant priest Rev. Fr. Steven Joel Cutinho, and Mulki Govt PU College principal Vasudeva Belle.

For 15 years, the Yakshagana troupe has been promoting religious harmony through events like Eid Milad, Satyanarayana Puja, and Christmas celebrations. This year marks the troupe’s 65th anniversary, a legacy highlighted by Samiti secretary Vasanth Padmanoor, who emphasized their commitment to continuing these traditions.

Muneer Katipalla commended the Samiti’s efforts, noting the historical significance of Kinnigoli in upholding justice and harmony. He praised the initiative as crucial in a district often plagued by divisive politics and communal tension.

The troupe’s efforts were widely appreciated by attendees, who lauded the celebration as a meaningful step toward fostering peace in the region.
