Mangaluru, April 18, 2025: With pre-monsoon showers expected to intensify, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for coastal Karnataka on April 18, 20, and 21.
Thunderstorms accompanied by moderate rainfall are likely in the Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts during this period.
On Thursday, Mangaluru and its surrounding areas saw a mix of sunshine and overcast skies. While cloud cover increased in some regions, no rainfall was reported.
Elsewhere, light afternoon showers were recorded in parts of Chikkamagaluru and Kodagu districts.
In Mangaluru, the maximum temperature reached 33°C, while the minimum dropped to 26.1°C.
