Mangaluru, July 13, 2024: Mangaluru police nab six individuals in connection with thefts at a shop in Pumpwell and a house within the Konaje Police Station limits. Stolen items worth several lakhs have been recovered from the suspects.

Police Commissioner Anupam Agrawal reported that on July 8, police arrested two individuals for a theft at a shop in the Pumpwell area, under the Kankanady Police Station limits. The arrested suspects have been identified as Mohammad Nazir Houseil Khan (27) and Ilyas Khan, both from Uttar Pradesh. Stolen cash worth Rs. 10 lakhs was recovered from them.

In another case, four individuals were arrested for a burglary at a house within the Konaje Police Station limits. The suspects, identified as Mohammad Siyab, Mohammad Arfaz, Safwan, and Mohammad Jamsheer, had gold jewelry and other items worth Rs. 12.50 lakhs seized from them, according to Agrawal.
