Manipal, April 11, 2025: A bag containing gold jewellery belonging to a person from Manipal was stolen while travelling in the Matsyagandha Express.
Vijaya Rao (73) had travelled in the train from Mumbai and had placed his luggage beneath the seat and had kept the bag of valuables near his head while sleeping.
However the next morning when Rao woke up after the train reached Indrali Railway Station, found that the bag containing valuables weighing nearly 138 grams was missing.
A complaint has been lodged in Manipal police station.
