Massive operation begins to trap wild elephant that killed 2 persons in Kadaba

Kadaba, Feb 21, 2023: A massive operation to capture the wild elephant that trampled two persons including a young woman to death at Kadaba  on Monday, has begun.

Five trained elephants have been brought to Renjilady along with their mahouts on February 21, Tuesday. Senior officials of the District Administration as well as the Forest Department are at the spot. The operation is led by DCF Dinesh YK.

As many as 50 forest personnel, 30 trained mahouts are part of the operation. The elephants  Prashanth, Abhimanyu, Harsha, Mahendra and Kanjan were brought from Nagarahole and Dubare elephant camps by trucks.

Apart from DCF Dinesh Kumar,  ACP Praveen Kumar, Zonal Forest Officers Girish, Raghavendra are part of the operations.

Specialist doctors have also arrived from Mangaluru and Nagarahole.
