Mangaluru, July 6, 2024: An autorickshaw driver who was reported missing has been found dead in the Phalguni river on Friday evening.

The deceased is Girish (37). He had left home on Thursday morning but had not returned home. Meanwhile, police on patrol duty found an autorickshaw parked on the Polali bridge. On not finding the driver, the police had informed his family. Later it was suspected that he parked his autorickshaw on the bridge and jumped into the Phalguni river.

The body was found at Kelaginakere in Addoor. The deceased has left behind his wife and two children.

The reason behind the suicide is not known.
