Mithun Rai puts up hoarding naming MIA after Koti-Chennaya!

Mangaluru, Nov 25, 2020:    There has been an interesting development amid the raging debate over  the naming of the Mangaluru International Airport as Adani Mangalore International Airport  and the suggestion to rename the airport after great personalities of Tulunad.

 

 

 

District Youth Congress President Mithun Rai who is in the forefront of the protest by the Congress seeking renaming of the Airport after the Tulunadu folk legends Koti-Chennaya, has sprang a surprise by putting up a huge hoarding  which states “Welcome, Koti-Chennaya International Airport Mangaluru.”  The name and photograph of Mithun Rai is also  seen at the bottom of the hoarding.

Commenting on the hoarding, Mithun Rai said “We have been fighting to rename the Mangalore International Airport after Koti-Chennaya.  “This hoarding has been put up  as part of our agitation and to caution the local MP and  minister,” he said

He also said the fight will continue  until the demand is fulfilled.
