Mohan Alva releases Tulu album Kadal Da Udal

Mangalore, Dec 28: Kadal Da Udal, a Tulu commercial album, was released by the music team at a special release ceremony organized at Don Bosco Hall on Dec 28, Tuesday. Alva’s Education Foundation President M. Mohan Alva released the CD.

Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy President Sitaram Kulal inaugurated the event and said that music evokes various emotional responses from people, and each person reacts to music in a different way.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Speaking about the difficulties of song writing, he said that the effort is worth it when the song is blended with music and sung. He urged the team to continue their work and promote Tulu language and culture through music. 

Opining that the World Tulu Convention held at Ujire has made the Tulu speaking community proud of its language, tradition, and culture, he congratulated the team for donating part of the profits obtained through CD sales to orphanages. 

Producer Mayur Shetty delivered the welcome address. Sudhakar Shetty, the composer and singer, and renowned singer Ratnamala Purandhar sang a song from the album.

Chandrahas Rai, the registrar of the Tulu Sahitya Academy, and Ramachandra Baikampady of the Karnataka Fisheries Development Corporation were the dignitaries on the dais.

The album consists of 9 songs such as ‘Tulu naada porlu’, ‘Manas Dinji’, Yepa Yepa’, ‘Nina Porluda’, ‘Dane Dane’, ‘Soorya Kathnaga’, ‘Yerero Daane’ and ‘Kadalda Barit Bathe’ sung by Rajesh Krishna, Hemanth, Shashidhar Kote, Ratnamala Purandhar, Sudhakar Shetty and others.
