Mulki, Sep 01, 2023: A woman has ended her life at the Korantabettu colony at Lingappaiah Kadu in Mulki on Thursday night.

The deceased has been identified as Sumitra (44). It has been alleged that Sumitra was greatly agonized over the alcoholism of her three sons who used to quarrel at home everyday in a drunken state.

It is said on Thursday night the woman’s sons Manjunath (25), Prahlad alias Prabhu (19) and Sanjeeva (22) had entered into a quarrel in a drunken stupor. The mother who was frustrated by their frequent fights, ended her life by hanging herself using a saree.

He police have arrested the three sons on the charges of instigating suicide of their mother.
