Mulki: Cops open fire when murder accused try to attack them, flee from custody

Mangaluru, June 11, 2022: An incident wherein the Mulki Police who had been to arrest the accused  in a murder case,  were attacked by two other  accused  while trying to escape  police custody.

 

The two namely Arjun Moodushedde and Manoj alias Bindas Manoj were recently arrested in connection with the murder of rowdy sheeter Raja alias Raghavendra  near Meenakaliya, Baikampady on June 6.They were being taken  for identification of other accused when they tried to escape by assaulting the cops.  CCB Inspector Mahesh Prasad fired three rounds and  the two were apprehended after they wer shot in the leg.

Apart from the two accused, three cops namely ASI David, PSI Nagendra, Head Constable Sudhir Poojary were injured in the incident.
