National Scientific Temper Day: Rationalists’ Association to hold lecture programme on Aug 20

Mangaluru, Aug 17, 2023: The Dakshina Kannada Rationalists’ Association and Federation of Indian Rationalists’ Association (FIRA) will be conducting a half-day workshop on Development of Scientific Temper at the KBEA Auditorium, Bejai on August 20, Sunday on the occasion of National Scientific Temper Day. The workshop will be held from 10 am to 1 pm.

 

The National Scientific Temper Day is being observed in memory of Dr Narendra Dhabolkar who was a known anti-superstition activist and was also a very vocal rationalist.

As part of the Workshop, Prof Narendra Nayak, eminent rationalist and President of FIRA will speak on “Necessity of Scientific Temper and its dissemination.” Apart from lecture, there will be a video presentation and a Q-A session.

Dr Srinivas Kakkilaya, eminent physician will speak on “Scientific Temper in Healthcare.”
