He criticized the BJP’s decade-long tenure, stating that no significant projects have been initiated in Mangaluru. He pointed out the poor condition of national highways in the coastal region and the stalled efforts to establish a Mangaluru Railway Division. Additionally, he highlighted the lack of local employment opportunities. Chandrashekar urged a focus on people-centric initiatives, avoiding politics on these issues.

KPCC Working President Vasanth Kumar mentioned that their strategy in the coastal region is aimed at securing the trust of both workers and leaders to lead the party to victory.

KPCC Working President Manjunath Bhandary called for a shift away from religion-based politics toward development-focused agendas. He noted the decline in the number of students from outside the region attending Mangaluru’s educational institutions and the hesitancy of IT companies to invest in the coastal area. He emphasized the need for coexistence and development beyond religious politics.
