Nephew of Sindhanur MLA Dies in Kulai Accident

Mangaluru, Feb 23, 2025: Deepu Gowda (48), nephew of Sindhanur MLA Hampanagowda Badarli, died on the spot after a pickup vehicle rammed into a parked car, causing it to hit pedestrians in Kulai on Saturday.
The incident occurred around 2:45 pm when Deepu and two friends were walking near their parked car. The collision caused the car to veer off, hitting the pedestrians before crashing into a stationary lorry. Deepu sustained fatal injuries, while his friends, Pradeep and Nagaraj, were hospitalized with serious injuries.
Eyewitnesses blamed the pickup driver’s reckless driving for the tragedy. A case has been registered at Mangaluru North Traffic Police Station.
