Mangaluru, Feb 17, 2023: A new born baby was found abandoned at the service bus stand near State Bank in the city on February 16, Thursday. The baby has been rescued and admitted to the paediatric section of Wenlock Hospital.
The baby has some minor injuries on the head and a tube was found fitted to the baby’s nose. The baby is also suffering from seizures. It is suspected that the baby was born about a week ago, Some drivers who saw the baby at the base of an electric pole, informed the police.
The Pandeshwar Police who rushed to the spot admitted the baby to Lady Goschen and then to Wenlock. Presently the baby is being treated in the ICU. Locals say they had seen a couple with a baby in the area on Thursday afternoon.
