Mangaluru, Sep 15, 2021: The lab test report of a young man from Goa who had voluntarily got himself tested for Nipah virus in Mangaluru on suspicion, has turned out negative, informed District Health and Family Welfare Officer Dr Kishore Kumar.
The young man who hailed from Karwar and worked as a mico biologist at a lab in Goa had suffered from fever, irregular heart beat and head ache following which he had got himself admitted to a hospital in Karwar and then at Manipal. Presently he is undergoing treatment at Wenlock. His samples were sent to the National Institute of Virology and the report has come out negative, Dr Kishore Kumar said.
