Nitte University Signs MoU With NIDEC-READ Corporation of Japan

Mangaluru, Oct 23, 2022: Nitte University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with NIDEC – READ Corporation of Japan for joint research, student training and placements. 

The MoU ewas exchanged between  the Vice Chancellor of Nitte University Prof. Satheesh Kumar Bhandary and Mr. Hidekasu Yamazaki, President and  CEO of NIDEC READ.

NIDEC-READ is a global Leader in manufacturing of equipment for quality testing of semiconductor packages, Printed Circuit Boards (PCB), touch panels and electric vehicle motors, A team of officials from NIDEC-READ visited both the Mangalore and Nitte campuses of Nitte University on 18th and 19th of November 2022.  

Pro Vice Chancellor Dr. M.S. Moodithaya, Principal of NMAM Institute of Technology Dr. Niranjan Chiplunkar and Mr. Harikrishna Bhat Director (International Collaborations) were present on the occasion.

Students of Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science Applications of NMAM Institute of Technology are being trained by NIDEC- READ  and placed at their offices in Kyoto, Japan.  A Centre of Excellence has been established at NMAM Institute of Technology, Nitte to provide for collaborative research with the support of industry experts from NIDEC –READ, Japan.
