Mangaluru, Mar 23, 2021: Nitte (Deemed to be University) has been awarded A+ Grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) of India. The University’s accreditation grade has improved from “A” in the first cycle to “A+” in the current assessment with a score of 3.40 out of 4.
A team of six distinguished external peer experts led by Dr. Shailendra Saraf, Vice-Chancellor, University Institute of Pharmacy, Pandit Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur had visited the University in the second week of March for the final stage of assessment. The grading takes into account the report submitted by this peer team and the data about various aspects of functioning of the University verified and validated through a rigorous process of evaluation.
NAAC is an autonomous body of the University Grants Commission (UGC) that assesses the quality of higher education based on parameters like curriculum development, teaching & learning, evaluation, research, innovation, infrastructure facilities, student support, governance and institutional values. Nitte University has improved it’s standing in all these parameters. Accreditation with a high grade for the second time in succession is a reflection of the University’s commitment to quality and excellence. Nitte University has also been ranked consistently in the top 100 Universities by NIRF and top 500 Asian Universities by QS World University rankings.
