Bantwal, August 26, 2023: A notorious criminal wanted in multiple cases and who had pending cases in almost all police stations in the district was arrested by the Bantwal police on Saturday and produced before the court. The man was wanted in murder attempt, dacoity, theft and many such crimes and was absconding without appearing before court.
The arrested man is Ummer Farooq of Sajipamunnur village. He was wanted in almost 17 cases in Bantwal town, Uppinangady, Bajpe, Konaje, Vittal, Kadaba and other stations.
On getting definite information that he was in Maani area, police went to the area and arrested him.
