Notorious rowdy arrested for attempt to murder fish merchant

Mangaluru, Sep 19, 2022: Ullal Police have arrested a notorious criminal in connection with the incident of attempting to murder a fish trader who is also a rowdy sheeter at Ajjinadka, K C Road.

The arrested person is Faisal Nagar resident Tallat (35). With this the total number of arrests in this case has risen to seven. Earlier, the police had arrested Naufal, Ashfaq, Nisaq, Rifat Ali and Rahim.

The incident had taken place on May 26 when Arif hailing from Kudroli and residing at Ajjinadka was attacked by a seven member gang while he was on way to the port. The victim also had 11 cases against him and the attack had reportedly taken place over a financial dispute relating to fish sale. It is leart, the victim Arif had to pay Rs 68000 to an uncle of Naufal towards fish auction amount. However when Naufal demanded the money back, there was an altercation. This incident is learnt to have instigated the attack.

The arrested person Tallat is also a prime accused in a double murder case in Farangipete.
