Mangaluru, July 11, 2022: An orange alert has been issued for Dkashinna Kannannda and Udupi for July 12 by the Indian Meteorological Department. Assessing the weather reports, the district administrations of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi informed that classes for schools and anganwadis will resume on July 12.
The schools had remained shut for over a week now due to the harsh weather conditions.
DC Dr Rajendra said suitable action will be taken if there are any problems that persist.
Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner Dr. Rajendra KV informed that the schools will remain open full day on Saturdays and the Dasara holidays will be cut short to compensate for the loss of learning hours due to the Monsoon holidays.
