Owner sends female dog forcefully in MCC garbage truck to dumping yard!

Mangaluru, September 11, 2024: In a shocking incident, a resident of a city has forcefully sent a domestic dog in the garbage vehicle of the MCC for the sole reason that the female dog was a nuisance. The incident  was reported from Dongerkeri in the city and has anguished many. The video of the incident has gone viral.

The incident took place on  Saturday. Meanwhile taking cognizance of the incident, the Animal Husbandry Department has served a notice to the MCC.

It has been learnt that the dog which was let free in the dumping yard at Pachanady is now missing.

 

Mayor Sudheer Shetty Kannur responded by summoning the garbage truck driver and warning him against accepting animals in the future. "This is the first time the MCC has encountered such a case. We are considering imposing fines on those involved," he said.

Ward corporator Jayasri Kudva confirmed the incident, stating that the MCC health inspector reported a garbage truck from another ward had been called to dispose of the dog. The Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services has since issued a notice to the MCC commissioner.
