Mangaluru, May 09, 2022: Padma Shri Award winning folk artist Sukri Bommagowda has been admitted to a private hospital in Mangaluru following breathing problem. Her condition is said to be stable.
Sukri Bommagowda (86) who hails from Badageri village of Ankola taluk in Uttara Kannada district was facing breathing issues since some time. In this backdrop her family members had contacted enviroonmentalist Dinesh Holla and as per his advice she was admitted to a private hospital in Mangaluru.
Sukri Bomma Gowda who is considered a cultural ambassador of Halakki community has been striving to include the Halakki Okkaliga community to the Scheduled Tribe list.
