Mangaluru, Dec 07, 2019: The Padua High School in Nanthoor is celebrating its platinum jubilee this year. The valedictory of the celebrations will be held today, December 7 Saturady, at 4.30 pm.
School Head Francis D’Cunha informed media that the programme will be presided over by Mangaluru Bishop Dr Peter Paul Saldanha. Karnataka High Court Judge Justice John Michael Cunha will be the chief guest. Mangaluru South MLA D Vedavyas Kamath, MLC M K Pranesh and Catholic Board of Education Secretary Fr Antony Shera will be the guests of honour, he said.
Francis D’Cunha stated that Scientist of International fame, H Tirumalaraya, sportsperson Sridhar Alva, Kendra Sahitya Academy awarded poet Melwyn Rodrigues, former mayors P M Castelino, Mahabala Marla, Harinath and Bhasker K and MLC M K Pranesh are among the alumni of the school.
Felicitation to the retired teachers of the school will be held on November 23 at 10 am, he said, and added that currently, the Padua Education Institutions provide education from kindergarten to BBA.
Convener of the Institution, Fr Vincent Monteiro, Campus director Rev Alwyn Serrao, Padua Alumni Association president Dennis Lobo and old student Stany D’Costa were present at the press conference.
