Padubidri: Railway gangman booked for assaulting boys who picked iron pieces near track

Padubidri, February 17, 2025: Padubidri police have registered a case against a gangman of the Konkan Railway for assaulting two boys on the charges of picking up iron pieces near the Railway track, and then making the video of the assault viral in social media.

The case was filed after the father of one of the boys lodged a police complaint. The boy had gone to his grandfather’s house at Avaralu in Palimar village and was playing with a friend on February 15 when the two boys reportedly picked some iron pieces found near the railway track.

The railway gangman who noticed the boys immediately caught hold of them and hit one of them on his head with a stick while the other boy was hit in his leg. The video was later uploaded on social media by the gangman and the same had gone viral.

Padubidri police are investigating the case.
