Padubidri: Two men from Kerala arrested for drunken driving

Padubidri, November 7, 2024: Padubidri police have taken two persons into custody for driving a car under the influence of alcohol.

The two men have been identified as Dheeraj (28) and Gowtham (30) from Kochi. They had returned to Kerala from abroad and were on a jolly ride to Udupi and Malpe.

They were reportedly returning to Kerala from Malpe in their Innova car in a haste and had rammed into a Maruti Alto near Pangala and had escaped from the place. The police who were informed swung into action and informed the Hejamady toll gate personnel who stopped the car at the toll gate. The two on realizing that they will be caught, took a reverse and sped towards Padubidri but eventually the car rammed into an iron pole meant for a hoarding near a local temple. The police who rushed to the spot, took the two men into custody.
