Mangalore, Feb 6: District in-charge Minister Krishna J Palemar has assured to fulfill the demands of the aided school teachers at the earliest, after apprising the chief minister of the same.
He was speaking at ‘Ksha Kirana 2010,’ a convention of aided primary school teachers, organized by the Karnataka State Aided Primary School Teachers Association at the A B Shetty Memorial Centenary hall on February 6 Saturday.
Palemar had a word of praise for the aided school teachers when he said they have always been striving to maintain the standard of education and provide the education of the highest quality to their students.
Earlier inaugurating the convention, Nagaraj Shetty, Chairman, Coastal Development Authority, appreciated the services of aided school teachers and said teachers played a very important role in building a model nation, by providing good education to their students.
He did not forget to mention the fact that the undivided Dakshina Kannada district known as the educational hub has always been in the top in SSLC and PUC results.

The demands of the Association include reducing the teacher-students ratio to 1:25, distribution of free uniforms to students of the aided school as in case of government schools, to waive off the fee for the girl students studying in aided schools and to provide 5 per cent maintenance grant to the aided school managements.
