Udupi, April 23, 2014 :  Sri Vidyvallabha Theertha Swamiji of Paryaya Kaniyoor Mutt who spoke to reporters here on April 22, Tuesday in the backdrop of the controversy arising over the alleged Pankthi Bedha practice at the Udupi Sri Krishna Mutt recently,  has regretted the incident and said steps would be taken to ensure that such incidents do not recur.


 Paryaya seer As already reported, the Bunt community woman who had sat for lunch at the dining hall meant for Brahmins recently was asked to move out.


The Paryaya seer  said the Mutt would ensure that no one is insulted and the staff of the dining hall have been directed to treat all devotees with respect.

The seer was also appreciative of the Bunt community members who have been supporting the Mutt through various ways.
