Parashuram Express train extended to Kanyakumari, gets 2 more general coaches

Mangaluru, July 3, 2024: Due to the ongoing works over the Nagercoil area, train No. 16649/16650, Mangaluru Central-Nagercoil Junction-Mangaluru Central Parasuram Express will be extended up to Kanyakumari on a temporary basis, and will run from Mangaluru Central with effect from Wednesday and from Kanyakumari with effect from Thursday.

In addition to this, to clear the rush of passengers, two additional general class coaches are augmented on a temporary basis to this train service.

The revised coach composition will include 16 General Class Coaches, 02 AC Chair Car Coaches, 03 Chair Car Coaches, and 02 Second Class Luggage cum Brake Van Coaches, ensuring accessibility for passengers with disabilities.

 

The revised timings for the extended route are as follows:

For Train No. 16649 Mangaluru Central - Kanyakumari Parasuram Express (Effective from July 3), departure from Mangaluru Central will be at 05:05,  with arrival/departure at Nagercoil Junction scheduled for 20:20/20:25, and arrival at Kanyakumari at 21:15.
