Parashurama theme park row: HC stays proceedings against sculptor

Karkala, August 21, 2024: The Karnataka High Court has granted interim stay to the proceedings in a case filed against sculptor Krishna Nayak of Krish Art World. The case is relating to the alleged irregularities in the construction of a bronze statue at Ummikal hill in Karkala.

The Karkala police had filed the FIR and the case was before the Karkala JMFC Court. The sculptor had moved the High Court seeking quashing of the FIR.

The case was heard by  the High Court and a single bench of Justice M Nagaprasanna granted interim stay.

The hearing will next be held on September 10.
