Mangalore, Dec 17: The valedictory programme of the 2-day District Police Annual Sports Meet was organized today on the police training grounds at Mangalore. ISP Gopal Hosur of Western Range; SP Dr. A Subramanyeshwar Rao; Dr. Deepthi Subramanyeshwar; Premalatha Hosur; and Shanthappa, the consecutive forester of Dakshina Kannada, distributed prizes to the champions and winners this annual sports meet.











The Annual Sports Meet was organized for the police teams of Dakshina Kannada. The District Armed and Reserve Police won the over-all championship. The Mangalore City Sub Division bagged a winner’s trophy. 







Radhakrishna of DAR, who emerged at the over-all champion of last year, won the men’s championship this year too. Shreekala won the over-all women’s championship. 










The annual sports event also included fancy dress competitions and slow motor cycle riding competitions. The best fancy dress performance was that of a group comprising Pradeep, Bal Krishna, Dhanvi, Santhosh Padil, Umesh, Sudhir, Ganesh, and Dhanish who disguised themselves as politicians and presented the scene of Chief Minister Dr. B S Yediyurappa distributing the flood-relief fund.
