Mangaluru, January 25, 2025: In the case of the robbery that took place at the Kotekar Agricultural Cooperative Society branch in K.C. Road, the police successfully apprehended the accused and recovered 100% of the stolen property. This marked the first case in which such a complete recovery was achieved, instilling fear among criminals and resolving the case effectively.
This case is notable in Karnataka for being one where the entire stolen property was recovered. Acting under the directives of the Chief Minister, the police cracked the case, providing a bold response to challenges from opposition parties. Recognizing their efforts, Member of the Legislative Council (MLC) Ivan D’Souza, along with the directors of the Kotekar Agricultural Cooperative Society, met with Mangaluru Commissioner Anupam Agarwal to congratulate him on the successful resolution of the case.
On this occasion, MLC Ivan D’Souza extended his gratitude and congratulations to ACP Mrs. Dhanya Nayak and CCP ACB Manoj Nayak, who played key roles in solving the case. The officers were commended for their dedication in the presence of the Commissioner.
The president and directors of the Kotekar Agricultural Cooperative Society were also present during the event. They discussed precautionary measures to be implemented within cooperative banks to ensure security in the future, taking advice and suggestions from the Police Commissioner. Ivan D’Souza further stated that they would appeal to the Chief Minister and Home Minister to recognize and commend the efforts of the police officers involved in this operation.
