Police, locals fail to catch Chain snatcher in Kundapur.

August 20, 2015: The Kundapur police on Wednesday tried to arrest the notorious chain snatchers and were unsuccessful in nabbing them.

According to the sources, the gang which came in blue Pulsar bike snatched a gold chain from a woman who was walking on a road near Kundapur.

As soon as the woman screamed, the locals rushed to the spot to catch the culprits but the accused managed to flee from the spot giving the locals a slip.

The locals immediately informed the police about the incident who then gave wireless information to Byndur, Gangolli, Kota and other police station.

The police blocked the road with Barricades in Kundapur to catch the culprits but the snatchers made a great escape from the police.

It is learnt that the accused snatched gold chain weighing 2.5 sovereign from the woman.

A case has been registered.
