Police to Seek Extension of Custody for Mohan

The police department, which is convinced that Mohan has murdered at least 15 of the 19 girls he has confessed to killing, might request the court for an extension of his custody because police investigation regarding these cases is still pending. Mohan’s police custody will end on October 27, Tuesday. According to reliable sources, police can request extension of custody for each case Mohan is involved with, separately.

On Saturday, Mohan had been taken to Tokkottu, where he had pledged some of the ornaments he had stolen from the murdered girls with private financiers. After confiscating these ornaments, police took him to Hassan, where he had killed Yashoda of Madanthyar and Anita of Barimar on July 17 and September 24, respectively.

Mohan had checked in at the lodges under a false name. So far, police have found out that Mohan was in the habit of using names such as Anand, Sundar Rai, Sudhakar Poojary, Sudhakar Kulal, Manoj, Rajesh, Chandrashekar, Anand Mogera, and many more.
