Poojary seeks CBI inquiry over land row

Poojary seeks CBI inquiry over land row

Mangalore Today News Network

Udupi, Jun 28, 2012: Congress leader B Janardhan Poojary demanded CBI probe into the land controversy involving Law Minister Suresh Kumar and asserted that he is not fit to continue in the post.

Speaking to media persons here on Wednesday, Poojary said it is a shameful act that the Law Minister is ignorant regarding the legal intricacies. Law Minister should not hold the post without the knowledge of law.

“How come a report from Advocate General can ensure the innocence of the Law Minister in the scam? How can he claim himself that he has not done anything against the rules of BDA? Advocate General is not a court. Is Advocate General’s report a judgment? he questioned.

Coming down heavily on Law Minister, Poojary said Suresh Kumar is a big dramatist. Politicians are all actors and Suresh Kumar and CM proved to be experts. He pretended to be a role model for anti-corruption. Sarcastically, all hopes collapsed when he followed the path of other tainted ministers in the State cabinet.

He has violated the rules being a Law Minister. Ridiculous is the fact that no one had asked for his resignation and he himself came forward. What was the need for it? Poojary said government has misled the probing institution. They committed offense by trying to bury the crime, he alleged.

He said people are not sure that state government will give any sort of justice to the probe. It is proved beyond reasonable doubts. They are already trying to suppress the evidences. He said in this backdrop there is a need for CBI inquiry. Poojary also questioned regarding the credibility of allotting housing sites to MLAs and MPs in Bangalore and Delhi. Government should stop G-category allotments, he demanded.

He also said that Yeddyurappa will not allow Eshwarappa to become chief minister till his last breath. He has learnt many things by making Sadananda Gowda as CM and now once again he will not commit similar crime.

Yeddyurappa has support of majority MLAs. He also said as many as 23 departments are under CM. There is no district in charge ministers to many districts. Gowda has drastically failed to perform better in giving justice to his responsibilities, he added.
