Pramod Mutalik declares he will contest as independent candidate from Karkala

Karkala, Jan 23, 2023: Sri Rama Sene Founder Pramod Mutalik has announced on January 23, Monday that he will be contesting as an Independent candidate from Karkala Assembly constituency in the upcoming election.

Speaking to reporters at a press meet convened in Karkala, he said he was declaring his candidature following pressure from thousands of activists and added that he will be a voice of their sufferings.

He said he has toured the constituency several times and claimed that the people have supported him.

"Hindus are pained in Karkala, there is rampant corruption and I will sincerely fight against Hindutva corruption," he declared.

He said he was not against the BJP or its ideology but his fight was against the ideology of a few people within the party.

Sri Rama Sene leaders Gangadhar Kulkarni, Harish Adhikari, Sudhir Hebri and others were present.
