Mangaluru, June 11, 2016 :  As many as 150  Hindu activists have been booked  and chargesheet filed against them in connection with the  incident of rioting and disturbances in the aftermath of the murder of  Bajrangdal activist Prashanth Poojary  at Moodbidri.

The charge sheet in the case has been filed  almost  eight months after the incident took place on October 9 last year.


 It may be recalled here that  Prashanth Poojary, a flower vendor was hacked to death  on October 9 morning  following which some untoward incidents were reported in the town.


It is learnt, the police have booked cases against some people from Moodbidri, Bantwal, Bailoor, Karkala and other places  based on CCTV footage.


So far ten persons have been arrested of whom two have secured bail from High Court.

What our politicians and the police doing ? Are they silently watching? Recently a RTI activists was murdered in Mangaluru and it is also the same. The main accused is not yet arrested? How sad?

So many months have passed still the accused is not arrested by the police . The culprit in such cases shouldn’t get bail.
