Puttur : Cops arrest 4 accused in Karthik Suvarna murder case

Puttur, Sep 05 2019: Puttur Police have on September 5, Thursday arrested four persons in connection with the murder of Hindu Jagarana Vedike Karthik Suvarna during  the Ganeshotsava celebrations at Sampya.

Those arrested are  Charan (26), his brother Kiran (36) from Puttur, Steven Monteiro from Attavar, Mangaluru and Prithesh (28) from Ullalbail.  It is learnt of the four, Steven had helped the other three to hide in his house after the murder on the night of September 3.

 It is said the accused and Karthik had involved in a spat during the Ganeshotsava function after which the former  stabbed the latter and fled in a car.
