Puttur: Plans to upgrade Puttur Government Hospital, says District Minister

Puttur, Aug 12, 2023: DK District in-charge Minister and State Minister for Health and Family Welfare Dinesh Gundurao visited the Puttur Government Hospital on August 11, Friday.

Speaking to media persons, the Minister said an action plan to upgrade the Hospital and increase its bed capacity by 50 has been sent to the government.

The hospital would be upgraded into a 150 bed hospital by constructing a new building while retaining the old building which has a history of 125 years, he said.
He said the process of recruiting 500 staff to government hospitals and primary health centres is underway.

Puttur MLA Ashok Kumar Rai, ZP CEO Dr Anand, District Health Officer Dr Kishore Kumar, Puttur Assistant Commissioner Girish Nandan, Mysuru Divisional Health officer Dr Rajeshwari, Puttur Government Hospital Medical Officer Dr Asha Putturaya, Taluk Health Officer Dr Deepak Rai and others were present.
