Puttur: The body of a missing youth has been found

Puttur, July 22, 2024: The body of Sanmith (21), son of Chandragouda from Tekkittadi in Kudmaru village of Kadaba taluk, was found in the Gauri rivulet on Sunday. Sanmith had gone missing after parking his two-wheeler near the Gauri rivulet in Survey village.

Sanmith, who was employed at a Mahindra showroom in Mukrampadi, Puttur, had left the showroom on his two-wheeler on Saturday night to return home but had gone missing. His vehicle was found about 150 meters from the banks of the Gauri rivulet leading to suspicions that he might have jumped into the rivulet to commit suicide. Following this, Chandragouda filed a complaint at the Puttur rural police station.

Fire department personnel conducted a search operation in the rivulet and continued the search on Sunday morning. During this time, the body was found in the rivulet. The Puttur rural police were present at the scene.
